Barb Woods Artworks

My work seeks to honor 'Mountain-top' Experiences whether monumental accomplishments, adventures, or the quiet but memorable moments of life. I am drawn to creating vibrant portraits and landscapes with personal meaning and lasting significance.

I primarily work in watercolor creating a modern fresco on a clay-based panel, allowing direct connection with the viewer without the interference of glass. I also use oils or soft pastels for their pure pigment intensity. The choice of medium is determined what enhances the subject best.

My intent is to create work that invites the viewer into a moment of connection, memory, and quiet recognition.
